Q: Where is the JSF available?
A: It is on sale on this website. It is also available on Amazon.com. Eventually, it might be found in bookstores.
X
Q: How many films will there be per volume?
A: It varies. Normally, the Journal is 90-120 minutes in length. The last three volumes have had nine, eleven, and ten films, respectively.
X
Q: Do you accept documentaries, too?
A: Absolutely. We accept ALL genres. And films that don’t even have genres. (eg., Vol. 1 includes a piece from the new genre “improvised cinema.”)
X
Q: So, what about video? Digital video? Other formats?
A: We want it all. We know the word “film” is in the title, but we mean “film” as in “cinema.” We’d say “motion pictures,” but we’re not that old-timey. Hopefully no purists are offended.
X
Q: Why is the packaging different from other DVDs?
A:

It is an environmental decision.
X

Q: How X-rated can my film be?
A: Not very. Due to interstate and international legal issues, we’re going to top out at circa rated-R films. But hey, if it’s “art,” we’ll talk.
X
Q: How much does shipping cost? And internationally?
A:

Shipping is $1 per disc (up to 5) and free for subscriptions. There is also a USPS Priority option. For international rates, residents of 51 countries can choose "global priority mail." This costs $5 for single discs and $16 for subscriptions.
